Puchong – 8 April 2022: Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB) in collaboration with Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) together with Rakan Digital Selangor (RDS) and Platform Selangor (PLATS) has held the Launching Ceremony of Hawker Empowerment Program through Selangor Platform Initiative (PLATS) Series 3 at Kinrara Town Ramadan Bazaar Site 5 at 3 p.m.

The Selangor Platform or PLATS is a digital directory for hawkers and micro SMEs in the state of Selangor that has been registered or approached by the Selangor Digital Partner Ambassador. PLATS has developed its first Ramadan e-Bazaar in 2020 where the platform has helped over 100 micro traders. Meanwhile, in 2021, this initiative has helped digitize more than 7,000 traders and create more than 1,000 job opportunities for the B40 group through the Selangor Digital Partner (RDS) program.

Various plans have been made for 2022 to help empower hawkers and micro SMEs in the state of Selangor. PLATS 3.0 aims to help another 10,000 local micro -traders across Selangor to digitize their businesses and operations.

The Selangor Digital Partner Initiative aims to help digitize hawker businesses and micro -SMEs in Selangor to ensure that no party is left behind in the current digitalization trend.

The launching ceremony of the program was officiated by YAB Dato ‘Seri Amirudin bin Shari, Dato’ Menteri Besar of Selangor. Also speaking at the launching ceremony was YM Raja Ahmad Shahrir Iskandar bin Raja Salim, Chief Executive Officer of PNSB.

The ceremony was attended and witnessed by YB Rodziah binti Ismail, EXCO for Housing, Urban Wellbeing and Entrepreneur Development, YB Tuan Ganabatirau A/L Veraman (State Government Exco) and YB Tuan Ng Sze Han (Kinrara ADUN)
